 
Dhaka, June 17, 2010: On 16-06-2010 Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally announced in the National Parliament that a group of Bangladeshi researcher and professionals
under the leadership of Dr. Maqsudul Alam has successfully decoded the Genome Sequencing of Jute. DataSoft Systems Bangladesh limited is proud to be a part of this historical achievement.
The key to success for this project was the tripartite combination of industry, academia, and government research organizations. The successful collaboration opened up the possibility of future ventures for scientific endeavors in Bangladesh. The brightest minds of our country from Dhaka University, DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited, and Bangladesh Jute Research Institute (BJRI) formed the core research group under the banner of ShapnaJatra Project.
