Dhaka, 15 May 2010, Mahboob Zaman, Managing Director of DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited and his Team Rainbow made a significant victory in the BASIS 2010 election.
Under the leadership of Mr. Zaman the Rainbow team candidates ware elected in 8 out of 9 positions in the Executive Council of BASIS for the year 2010-2012.
 Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) is the national association for Software & IT Enabled Services companies of Bangladesh. BASIS members elect a 9-member board of directors known as Executive Council (EC) for a two-year term by direct voting. The EC has the overall responsibility for running the affairs of BASIS and setting policy guidelines for its secretariat.
After the triumph Mr. Zaman, thanked all the BASIS member organizations for giving the rainbow team an opportunity to work toward talking BASIS to the next level. He also added if properly guided the IT industry in Bangladesh can contribute significantly in the economy of Bangladesh. BASIS can play a very vital role in leading the IT industry in the county to success. He sought the cooperation of the BASIS members to make BASIS a more vibrant, credible and successful organization.
