Dhaka, 09 August 2010: DataSoft’ Chittagong Custom House Automation Project has received the “Champion” Award in e-Government & Institution category of E-Content & ICT For Development Award 2010. The Gala event was held at National Museum Auditorium on 09/08/2010. Honorable Finance Minister of the people’s republic of Bangladesh Mr. Abul Maal Abdul Muhith was present as Chief Guest and Honorable Minister, Ministry of Science and ICT Architect Yeafesh Osman was present as Special guest in the event.
The Chittagong Custom House Automation Project is one of the most successful automation projects within Bangladesh Government since liberation. This is a venture of Public Private Partnership without any finance from government. To develop and maintain a sustainable IT solution for Chittagong Custom House, a step towards revolution was taken by Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). DataSoft for its capability and proven track records has developed the software under PPP in Built-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model, and is in contract for maintaining the system for next five years.
